Moderation
Report a listing or user
If something on 21ST AURA looks misleading, unsafe or fraudulent, tell us. Reports are confidential and go to our moderation queue. Last reviewed 12 September 2026.
1. How to report
Open the listing or the seller's profile and use the Report button. Choose the reason that fits best and add any detail that helps us understand the problem — for example what was claimed, what you saw, and when.
You need an account to report, so that we can follow up and prevent abuse of the reporting system. The person you report is never told who reported them.
2. What to report
- Misleading or false descriptions, including wrong odometer, year, or condition.
- Undisclosed damage, written-off history, or money owing on the vehicle.
- A business selling vehicles while posing as a private seller.
- A trader listing without complete Consumer Information Notice details.
- Photos of a different vehicle, or stolen photos from another listing.
- Requests to pay a deposit before any viewing, or pressure to move off-platform.
- Abusive, harassing, discriminatory or scam messages.
- Vehicles the seller does not have the right to sell.
3. What happens next
A moderator reviews the report against our selling rules and terms of use. Depending on what they find, a listing may be left alone, edited by the seller, suspended, or archived, and an account may be suspended.
Every moderation action is recorded in an audit log showing who acted and when. We do not share the outcome of another person's account action with you, because that is their personal information.
We may need to read the relevant conversation to investigate. That access is limited to authorised staff and is logged.
4. Urgent and criminal matters
If you believe a vehicle is stolen, or you have been defrauded, contact the New Zealand Police. If you believe a trader has breached the Fair Trading Act, you can also complain to the Commerce Commission.
21ST AURA does not investigate crime, recover money, or act as an arbitrator between buyer and seller. We moderate content and accounts on the platform.
5. False or abusive reports
Reporting a competitor's honest listing, or repeatedly filing baseless reports, is a breach of our terms of use and may lead to your account being suspended.
6. Contact
If you cannot use the in-app Report button, contact support at [PLACEHOLDER — support email address]. This is a placeholder and must be replaced with the real support address before launch.
